Business directory for the Central Coast of NSW, Australia
Blog
When looking for accommodation on the Central Coast there are a number of factors that you’ll want to consider. This is regardless of whether you’re looking for a hotel, motel, resort, tourist park or a serviced apartment. Or whether you here for a holiday or a business trip. You’ll want to consider the location, the available facilities, how much it costs, along with a few other features.
Consider what you’ll be doing on your holiday, if your planning to go shopping make sure your close to the shops (this is particularly important during Xmas when finding a parking spot can be as easy as spotting a flying pig). If you’re more inclined to laze about on the beach, then look for somewhere within walking distance. Again during summer and the school holidays it can be a disaster trying to drive anywhere.
Having said that, also think about how close your accommodation is to the main road and other high noise making activities. If you’re looking for a quite getaway then a motel by the side of the road probably isn’t your best option. Though it could be perfect if your just passing through on your way up north.
Before booking, you’ll want to think about the general accommodation facilities like tennis courts, pools, BBQ’s, etc and you’ll also want to think about your specific rooms facilities. If you’re coming up here in summer you’ll definitely want a room that has air conditioning. Also think about what you’ll be doing when you’re up here. If you’ll be going out to dinner every night then don’t worry about a kitchen but if you’re a bit more budget conscious or you prefer to stay in at night then you’ll want a normal sized kitchen with all the facilities like microwave, oven etc.
There are also other things to consider before you book accommodation on the Central Coast that quite often aren’t thought about until you get here.
Is there a view from your room?
Are there transport options easily available? (ie is it easy to get a taxi)
What payment methods do they accept? (eg AMEX, Mastercard, Visa, etc)
Accommodation can be pretty expensive, particularly during the school holidays when the population of the Central Coast swells with all of the tourists soaking up the sun and pristine beaches for their relaxing summer getaway.
At the end of the day once you consider all of the above points, how much are you willing to pay for these features. Some of them are invaluable while others you may be willing to compromise with. Regardless, with such a large range of Central Coast Accommodation, there’s bound to be a place to stay that meets your particular needs and budget.
Happy Holidays.
