Learnings from our Newsletter Survey

What an intriguing survey. Even though it was short, it certainly has given us some important insights. For those of you who do your own newsletter, these results may give you some ideas about how you can also better communicate with your clients.

Here’s a quick snapshot:

  • 5-10 articles each edition is best
  • Monthly deliveries are by far the most popular
  • Tips on improving your marketing is high on everyone’s agenda
  • Getting special offers is the least popular choice

It’s seems most of us are continually trying to get more information to improve our business. While there were some topics that were more popular than others most people indicated that they were interested more than 1 topic.

How are we using the results

You’ll see in the new version of the newsletter that we now include more marketing tips and relevant articles than previously.

We’ve also included a feature business as well as a quick tip on improving your listing.

As part of the articles we will occasionally put in market research and consumer trends but they won’t be a key focus.

Interestingly the over whelming majority of you would like the newsletter to be sent to you monthly and would like it to contain between 5 and 10 articles.

Based on the results we won’t have a section on how to better use the site (the tip on improving you listing is more important) and we won’t be posting special offers from other businesses.

The Stats

This ended up being a lot loser than we had anticipated. What it shoes is that we're all hungry for more information to make our business successful.

It's almost unanimous that people would like to receive the newsletter monthly.

This result is what we expected and we'll definitely be aiming to keep the content between the 5-10 mark.
